NEW U.K.-BASED ONLINE SPORTSBOOK LAUNCHES.
 
But RedZoneSports.com has a decidedly American focus.
 
RedZoneSports, a new online sportsbook, may be UK-based, but it has a strong US focus, offering wagering on major US events in addition to European fare.
 
"At Redzone we love all sports but we have a particular soft spot for all things American, and especially NFL," said Stephen Baumohl, vice president of trading at RedZoneSports and previous head of US sports at Sporting Index, in a statement Thursday.
 
"We believe in creating our own lines and odds for US sports and we are prepared to back that up by having high limits for all customers."
 
Licensed to operate by the UK Gambling Commission, the new sportsbook  is operated by Argyll Entertainment and powered by Amelco.
 
It is a sister site to relative newcomer BetOnBrazil with both owned by Argyll Entertainment, which is based in Switzerland and is a subsidiary of the Florida, USA based AHG Group.
