July 9,2012 : PURPLE LOUNGE POKER LIQUIDATORS APPOINTED (Update)
Baker Tilly UK appointed to sort out Purple Lounge debacle
Owed Purple Lounge players have been waiting impatiently for several weeks for the new management at Purple Lounge parent group Media Corp to advise on the appointment of liquidators, and last Friday the London Gazette carried the notification that Baker Tilly UK will supervise the liquidation.
Although from a player perspective the official notification was not the most public way of getting the news out, the word soon spread as players discussed submitting their claims.
The notice advises in Section 98 of the Insolvency Act 1986 that a meeting of the creditors of the above named company will be held at The Clock House, 140 London Road, Guildford, Surrey GU1 1UW on 23 July 2012 at 10.30 am.
A shareholders’ meeting has been convened for 23 July 2012 to pass a resolution for the winding up of the company.
A full list of the names and addresses of the company’s creditors may be examined free of charge at the offices of Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery LLP, The Clock House, 140 London Road, Guildford, Surrey GU1 1UW between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on the two business days prior to the day of the meeting.
Further details are available from Victoria Smith, telephone number 01483 307 035.
