"Poker Pro Battle" will give Baltic online punters a crack at top professional players.
Full Tilt Poker plans to attract and entertain a significant audience in the Commonwealth of Independent States – a regional organisation of former Soviet Republics – and the Baltic states, through the launch of a reality television show that enables poker fans to play against top names in the game.
With a working title of "Full Tilt Poker Pro Battle", the show will feature skilled pros like Gus Hansen, Alexander Kravchenko, Ivan Demidov, Maksin Lykon and Eugene Katchalov in events supported by a $150,000 prize pool with a winner's purse worth $35,000.
In the grand finale the overall winner will be matched heads up against Hansen with a $100,000 prize up for grabs.
The clashes will be televised in Kiev, Ukraine and FTP is to make available a total of twelve $3,000 travel and accommodation packages to players who have qualified in online satellites to go up against the greats.
The fun starts with online qualifying satellites next week (October 13) and will run through to November 10. One of the $3,000 travel packages is available through free-rolls.
