Before playing Blackjack for real money you need to understand the basics of the game. The aim when playing Blackjack is to try and get a hand to the value of 21 or as close to 21 as possible. Hence why the game is commonly referred to as “twenty one”. In the event of no hand being 21, the hand closest to 21 (without going over 21 and busting) is the winning hand. Blackjack Betting Rules : After the initial hand is dealt to the player, the player may take one of the following actions:

Split pairs : If the first 2 cards in the player’s hand are identical in value, then the player may decide to split the cards and play the cards as two separate hands. The player must wager the same number of chips on the second hand as initially wagered on the first two cards before the player split them.
After the player has been dealt his/her hand(s), the dealer must turn his initial card to face upwards before drawing a second card from the shoe. The hand closest to 21 wins. If the initial two cards drawn have a value of 21 (eg. Ace and a King), then it's a blackjack. In a normal blackjack game, if the player gets a blackjack it pays 3 to 2. So, a $5 bet would win $7.50. If the hands of the player and the dealer are equal in value, then it is a tie, and neither the player or dealer wins.
Insurance : If the dealer’s first exposed card is an Ace, then insurance is offered to the player. This means if the dealer gets blackjack, the player gets 2 to 1 on the insurance wager, but still loses their initial wager. This is the biggest sucker bet in the entire casino. NEVER TAKE INSURANCE
