PartyPoker Removes Withdrawal Fees

Thursday February 11,2016 :  GOOD NEWS FOR PARTY POKER PLAYERS

Operator does away with e-wallet withdrawal fees.

Possibly due to a more player-friendly approach by new owner GVC Holdings, Party Poker announced Wednesday that a decision to charge players for e-wallet withdrawals has been rescinded with immediate effect.

The policy change applies to withdrawals from Neteller, Skrill and Webmoney, where all cash-outs from PartyPoker are now free of charge.

Professional players will be especially pleased at the move, which most strongly opposed when charging at the rate of $4 plus 3 percent of the total withdrawal was introduced in 2013.

This draconian solution was lightened two years later when the company allowed withdrawals via Mastercard, Visa and bank transfers would be carried out free of charge, along with Kalixa Pay, Goplay prepaid MasterCard, ClickandBuy and PayPal.

Party Poker are putting a consumer spin on the move, with head of poker Tom Waters characterising it as a decision in response to player demand under the company's recent "Poker for the People" promotional campaign.

The move comes on the heels of a disclosure by Waters that under the new GVC leadership Party Poker will be re-introduced to gray markets abandoned by the previous management
