NetEnt is one of the largest online casino software providers in the world. As the US online gambling sector began to open up over the last few years, the Scandinavian powerhouse was one of the first providers to try and get a foothold in the market. Things seem to be going remarkably well for NetEnt, with BetMGM already running NetEnt content in their New Jersey casino. Now, NetEnt and BetMGM are set to offer more of the same to players in West Virginia.
West Virginia Joins the Club
In July, West Virginia took the bold decision to launch its own online gambling sector. Following the success of similar ventures in New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, Pennsylvania and elsewhere. DraftKings was the first online casino to be granted permission to operate in the state. Now BetMGM has joined suit. Following the successful application to join the fledgling West Virginian online gambling sector, BetMGM has sounded out NetEnt to offer a full array of titles to its new enterprise.
FanDuel is another one of several operators who have expressed an interest. They have been granted a license to offer West Virginians online gambling games. Many other operators are also eyeing up the state as an ideal place to do business.
NetEnt Gets On-Board
Net Ent is believed to be supplying around thirty of its most loved online slots and casino games to players at the BetMGM side in West Virginia, giving the Scandinavian provider a foothold in the state. However, BetGMG has already expressed interest in seeing NetEnt’s range of games expand far beyond a dedicated tab at their casino. NetEnt won’t be having everything their own way though. As BetMGM aims to take the fight to rival operators by offering games from additional software providers at their site.
Rapid Expansion for West Virginian Internet Casinos
The deal which will see Net Ent supply BetMGM with casinos games at their West Virginian casino is just one of many significant events for NetEnt in the US this year. A surge of online gambling interest following the shutdown of casinos amidst the coronavirus pandemic has seen interest in NetEnt games grow. A triple-digit rise in revenue was recorded throughout the second quarter in casinos operating NetEnt games. Both in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It is hoped that this rise in fortune will be translated into the West Virginian gambling sector.
