Monday November 14, 2011 : Online casino and poker products meet tough national regulators' requirements
The Isle of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming has announced an agreement with the online gambling division of UK betting giant Ladbrokes to provide its online casino and poker software in the newly liberalised Danish and Spanish markets.
Ladbrokes' Spanish facing site, LBApuestas, and its Danish operation will be going live with Microgaming software following the licensing process in both markets. It is anticipated that the first operations will go live in January 2012, and both sites will have access to a major suite of premium casino titles, provided through Microgaming’s Flash and download casino clients.
Ladbrokes will also be taking Microgaming’s internet poker software, enabling Spanish and Danish players to enjoy a variety of games and tournament schedules.
Adam Greenblatt, director of corporate and strategic development at Ladbrokes, said: “We have a strong relationship with Microgaming and our players have always reacted well to their products; we are pleased to be working with them as we target new licences in Spain and Denmark, markets familiar to Ladbrokes already."
Andy Clucas, head of business development at Microgaming, said: “Once granted a licence, Ladbrokes will be able to offer the most competitive range of products.”
