Microgaming Poker Network chief Alex Scott revealed some interesting information on his company's forthcoming venture into lottery sit ‘n go action this week whilst being interviewed by player and podcast presenter Joe ‘ChicagoJoey' Ingram.
Scott revealed that MPN's variable prize pool SNG due to launch around July 12 will have a virtually unlimited progressive jackpot for the top prize at each buy-in level that has the potential to eclipse the million-dollar scores achieved on the popular Pokerstars Spin & Go offering.
Microgaming has massive experience in the progressive jackpot sector, having pioneered the online concept and awarded scores of millions in prizes over the years. The company currently holds a Guinness Book of Records entry for the biggest single progressive jackpot prize ever…paid out in a single tranche to boot.
The MPN product, which will have a maximum buy-in of Euro 50 and an expected average jackpot size of Euro 1 million, will mirror the system used by Microgaming in its progressive slots, constantly adding a portion of buy-in to the progressive network until the jackpot is hit, and with no limitation of how big that jackpot can become.
The new offering will reportedly give MPN a very reasonable rake of around 5 percent at all buy-in levels, and the product will probably be titled Fish Party Sit and Go, referencing a well-known and popular progressive slot in the Microgaming casino inventory, an appropriate association given the intention to create an entertaining player experience with slot overtones that should see some players using Twitch to stream their action.
