Sunday, November 6,2011 : IGT BRAINPOWER ON DISPLAY AT WORLD SERIES OF POKER
Machine manufacturer's Texas Hold'em Heads Up Poker simulates the human brain
One of the world's most respected gambling machine and software developers, International Game Technology (IGT) will be pulling the WSOP main event railbirds to its display at the Rio this weekend as it showcases its latest innovation; a machine that uses neural net technology to simulate human-style bluffing and thinking.
The advanced technology of Texas Hold'em Heads Up Poker recreates engaging behavioural nuances such as opponent "bluffing" and "thinking" in an interactive scenario that's less intimidating than a live-table experience – making the slot machine inviting to all levels of Texas Hold'em players, company officials said this week.
"This is a game that players of every level can test," said Eric Tom, executive vice president for IGT. "Players will want to put on their shades and pull down the brim of their hats to hide their tells when they saddle up to Texas Hold'em Heads Up Poker. This is a game where players at every level can test their craftiest bluffing strategies and Texas Hold'em skills."
In addition to the innovative technology, a number of other features on the machine include:
• Striking graphics and player-customisable options – including touchscreen good luck charms.
• The Multi-Hit Stud Bonus game doubles the action and increases the player experience.
• After the conclusion of a game, the "peek" feature gives the player the choice to see the AI opponent's cards – even if a showdown did not take place – giving the player insight as to how the opponent plays.
