German Sportsbetting Firm In Deal With Handball Club

Bet-At-Home and MyBet sign deals with German handball and football clubs
 
Online sports betting operators MyBet and Bet-At-Home have increased their marketing profile in Germany with separate sponsorship deals with DKB Handball Bundesliga and Schleswig-Holstein-Liga clubs.
 
Bet-At-Home.com signed a two-year deal as main sponsor for SC Flensburg-Handewitt.  The company has advertised at the DKB Handball Bundesliga club’s home matches since 2010 and the new agreement will see the logo for the Austria-based site appear on the team’s shirts.
 
“SG Flensburg-Handewitt is one of the top clubs in Europe and in the coming years will be playing for national and international titles,” said Claus Retschitzegger, communications manager for Bet-At-Home.com.
 
“As the main sponsor of the club, we can significantly increase our existing exposure in the Champions League, especially in Germany.”
 
SG Flensburg-Handewitt joined the DKB Handball Bundesliga in 1992 and has won the prestigious DHB Cup on three occasions along with the league title in 2004. It also competes in the EHF Champions League and won the European Cup in 2001.
 
Jaxx AG subsidiary MyBet inked an agreement that will see it serve as the principal sponsor for Schleswig-Holstein regional football club VfR Neumunster.
 
The club competes in the fifth-tier Schleswig-Holstein-Liga and played its first match in its new shirts over the weekend against local rival VfB Lubeck. This weekend it will challenge takes Wolfsburg at its 10,000-seat Grummi-Arena.
 
Two German football teams sponsored by Jaxx last season, SpVgg Greuther Furth and Fortuna Dusseldorf, were recently promoted to the first division Bundesliga after finishing first and third respectively in the lower 2nd Bundesliga.
