Monday September 5, 2011 : London venue will host resumed hearing
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission's deliberations on the suspension of Full Tilt Poker's licence in the aftermath of the Black Friday indictments in the USA will resume on September 19 in London, four days over the September 15 deadline originally set.
The online gambling regulator announced the new date Monday, and it is hoped that this session, unlike the previous hearing which disappointed the public by being held in camera, will be more transparent.
After negotiations in camera the previous hearing on July 26 2011 gave Full Tilt until September 15 to finalise a deal with investors, which the Alderney commissioners said would give FTP players a better chance of recovering their account balances.
As far as is known, players remain unpaid since the Black Friday indictments were unsealed earlier this year, plunging Full Tilt further into a financial crisis.
The September 19 hearing will be held in the Plaza Suite at the Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel in London, and interested parties who wish to attend the proceedings are invited to email the AGCC on info@agcc.gg, or call on +44 (0)1481 825500.
Full Tilt's success in finding investors appears so far to have been limited, although the most recent reports indicate that the company continues to negotiate with as many as six prospective parties.
