Massachusetts poker pro Ronnie Bardah won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, and his biggest career cash yet, in event 40 – $2,500 buy-in Limit Hold'em Six Handed after surviving a field of 302 entrants and a hardass final table.
The level 26 heads up saw Bardah pitted against 26-year-old Californian internet and live tournament pro Marco Johnson – famous for his role in exposing the Absolute Poker scandal – with Bardah holding a more than 3 to 1 advantage which Johnson was unable to overcome.
The Californian had to be content with a runner up prize of $112,525, leaving the main prize of $182,088 …and that bracelet….to Bardah.
