Friday September 4,2015 :  CAESARS INTERACTIVE TO PROVIDE ONLINE CONTENT FOR DELAWARE

New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement approves hosting on Atlantic City servers.

Caesars Interactive Entertainment has been given permission by the New Jersey regulator to host internet gaming content for the Delaware State Lottery on its Atlantic City servers, another step forward in inter-state cooperation on online gaming.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement approval Thursday means that SG Interactive, a division of Scientific Games, can provide gaming content from servers based in Caesars' data centre in Atlantic City to the Delaware Lottery's online gambling platform, although spokesmen emphasise that the games will be available only to online gamblers who are within Delaware state borders.

David Rebuck, the director of the DGE, said Thursday in a statement:

"This arrangement exemplifies a great collaborative effort between the Delaware Lottery, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Scientific Games, and Caesars Interactive Entertainment."

The new arrangement actually soft-launched earlier in the week, but an announcement was delayed in order to ensure that it worked smoothly.

Marco Ceccarelli, senior vice president and chief information officer for Caesars Interactive, told the Associated Press news agency that his company was happy to do its part in assisting regulators in Delaware and New Jersey.

"We appreciate their progressive and innovative work to help continue to grow and push the regulated online gaming market forward in the United States," he said.

The nascent online gambling industry in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware won a collective $135 million last year, AP reports.
