American giant will collaborate with partner 888.com in intrastate online poker offering
The Nevada Gaming Control Commission gave its online poker licensing approval for Caesars Entertainment Thursday, bringing to seventeen the number of companies given the green light when the state finally opens its intrastate online poker market.
Caesars Interactive division, headed by former Party Gaming chief Mitch Garber and based in Montreal, already has a partnership in place with the major 888.com internet gambling group in Europe, which has also applied for a licence .
The two companies already operate together in real money gaming in the United Kingdom, France, and Italy.
It is understood that the two plan to operate under Caesars globally famous World Series of Poker brand.
Caesars communications manager, Seth Palansky, said Thursday:
“We want to thank the Commission for all their efforts throughout this process. There’s no doubt they do a thorough review and will ensure that Nevada is the best regulated market for online poker. We look forward to the opportunity to serve Nevadans when we complete the necessary steps to do so.”
