Expansion in personnel to handle volume of new business

Newcastle-headquartered Bede Gaming is looking for up to 75 new staff members following its multi-million pound digital platform deal with Rank Group at the end of January 2015.

Bede Gaming expects to grow its existing 120 staff complement with the immediate addition of at least 25, followed by another 50, software and creative positions.

The company will be handling all online transaction, digital gaming platform and content requirements for Rank Group’s Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo brands.

Bede Gaming has forecast an annual turnover this year of approximately GBP 8 million, more than double the GBP 3.5 million it reported in fiscal year 2014.

Dan Smyth, managing director of Bede Gaming revealed the company had received a lot of interest since the announcement of the Rank deal, but that Rank requires its full focus for the time being.

“For a company that is less than three years old to have won a deal of this size is a testament to the enormous hard work of everyone who works for Bede and their skill in creating one of the best gaming platforms in the world,” Smyth said.
