10 percent year-on-year decline in revenues reported.
 
The mainly terrestrial companies in Greek's gambling industry have experienced another year of decline, reports the Greek newspaper Ekathimerini.
 
The nine land casino groups posted total revenues of Euro 270 million on stakes of Euro 1.4 billion for 2014, a 10 percent year-on-year continuing decline made more dramatic by reference to the heydays of 2007, when a booming industry delivered revenues of Euro 776.7 million.
 
The mandatory entry fees of Euro 12 every time a punter enters a casino produced Euro 100,000 less than the previous year at Euro 27.6 million, and operators are seeking the abolition of this fee in the hope that more punters will come through the doors this year.
