PartyPoker Closes 94 Bot Accounts
partypoker confirms 94 bot account closures in April 2019; $143,908.10 and €34,546.17 seized. Efforts form part of ongoing drive to make site safer. partypoker has disclosed details of recent closures made to fraudulent ‘bot’ accounts across both its global and shared liquidity dot eu licenses.
A total of 39 dotcom accounts were closed during April 2019 and a subsequent $143,908.10 seized in player balances, as part of the site’s ongoing attempts to make the site a safer, fairer place to play. partypoker is currently processing refunds from the entire pool of seized funds, which will be redistributed to all affected players.
Of the 39 dotcom poker account closures in the month, 38.5% (15) were directly attributed to reports submitted by partypoker online poker players, and the site encourages players to continue reporting all suspicious activity at its tables, by emailing reports@partypoker.com. partypoker promises to investigate all incidents reported.
Separately, the site can also report it closed 55 rogue accounts throughout April belonging to its ring-fenced dot eu license that serves players from France and Spain. Those 55 account closures led to the seizure of €34,546.17 in associated funds, with five of the closures coming as a direct result of player reports.
partypoker continues to invest in resources aimed at safeguarding the safety of its players, spearheaded by a specialist Poker Fraud Team comprising a collection of former poker professionals whose duty is to investigate suspicious activity and aid partypoker in ridding the site of unscrupulous accounts.
