Friday September 7, 2012 : BETCLIC CONFIRMS MOVE TO IPOKER NETWORK (Update)
Increased liquidity a boon for players
The Betclic Everest Group (BEG) has confirmed it will move its BetClic Everest poker brand to Playtech's iPoker Network, apparently before the end of the year .
The new platform will apply to international markets and the Group's French operation and expands on the company's existing agreement with Playtech who already provides technology platforms for its Scandinavian operation Expekt.com and BetClic.it under an AAMS licence in Italy.
BEG said the transition will now allow the firm to focus on marketing, promotional offers and new tournament concepts.
Mor Weiser, chief executive officer of Playtech, said: "The French market remains a priority market for us. We believe that the combination of BetClic-Everest Group, one of the leading operators in the French market and our technology solutions reinforces our strategy on regulated markets. This partnership extends beyond France, and is of benefit to our two groups with greater liquidity, advanced technology and closer relations."
Ignacio Martos, chief executive officer of BEG added: "Playtech is the best way to improve the experience of our customers and our liquidity and to offer our community a better interface to the latest industry standards. With this partnership, we continue our strategy to offer the best online gaming experience to our players and to consolidate our position in key European markets where we are present."
Industry observers surmise Betclic Everest will be included in the top-tier of the recently split iPoker network.
