CarbonPoker 5.0, Now with Mac Users!

As of December 1st, a new version of CarbonPoker will be available to the general public.  CarbonPoker 5.0 will be the first edition of the software available for Mac users, which means our affiliates now have access to a market of players who haven’t been able to use CarbonPoker in the past.

We’ve been excited about this news coming down the pipes for a long time, and we’re very excited to share all the details with you at last…

Beta testing on the new client has gone very well, and some of the new features have been especially popular.  Tournament lobbies now open in a separate window, full screen mode has been optimized for smoother play, and improvements have been made to the software’s performance on smaller computers and netbooks.

Numerous studies have shown that Apple’s market share in the U.S. has grown to over 10% in 2010, and will continue to grow rapidly going forward, meaning there has never been a better time to be Mac-friendly.

Remember too that no Mac user currently has a Carbon account, so be sure to open one now. 

The 5.0 update to the client will be available December 1st, though players will have time to update from the 4.7 edition of the software at their convenience as it will not be made a mandatory update right away.
