MPNPT Madrid winner to snag €52,000; 30 remain. We’re down to the final 30 players at MPNPT Madrid, all chasing the last ever MPNPT Main Event trophy – and the €52,000 first prize that goes with it.
Among those who will be back for today’s final are UCOP champion Mateusz Moolhuizen, Deborah Worley-Roberts and Day 1a chip leader Mikael Gronvik.

The overall chip leader going into the final day is British player James Sudworth who accrued a substantial 1,171,000 stack last night, one of only two players with a million-plus stack. In second place is Chinese player Yu Cheng Liu on 1,033,000. Full chip counts are available on the MPNPT blog.
With a quick-fire bubble lasting less than 20 minutes, we reached the business end of MPNPT Madrid at 11.20pm last night when James Pride was eliminated by Yu Cheng Liu. However it was another 4.5 hours before TD Gerard Serra announced end of play and the remaining players started bagging up and heading for the door (or bar).
The four-day €500 + €50 NLH Main Event took place at Casino Gran Madrid in the heart of the Spanish capital. There were three starting flights in total, including a turbo Day 1c which attracted 77 runners yesterday morning.
The MPN Poker Tour has proved enduringly popular since it first launched in 2014 and nearly 500 unique players opted to take part in this historic Grand Finale, including 217 online qualifiers. There was no stinting on re-entries either and by the end of registration yesterday, the total field for the Main Event had swelled to 575, making it one of the biggest MPN Poker Tour tournaments ever held.
